Piping, Drumming & Band Competitions

 

Stone Mountain Highland Games is proud to offer the very best in Pipe Band, Solo Piping, and Solo Drumming contests. Some of the best pipers and drummers in the world make their way to Georgia every year to compete at Stone Mountain.

Our Open Solo Piping competition will occur at the Host Hotel in Norcross Georgia on Friday night, October 17th starting at 6:00 pm.

Solo Piping and Solo Drumming contests for all other grades will occur at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday morning, October 18th beginning at 8:00 am.

Band competitions for Grades 3, 4, 5, and Public Performance Bands will take place on Saturday afternoon, October 18th starting at approximately 1 pm.

Band and Solo registration can be completed online this year by clicking one of the links below. Each participant from a competing Band must also submit an online waiver form, which is also available at the link below. Please follow the instructions on the forms, and contact us with any questions at the email below.

The deadline for registering is September 13, 2026.

Professional Piping Competition

The Stone Mountain Highland Games has always provided some form of musical entertainment on the Friday evening before the Games. Over the years weve hosted events from professional piobaireachd competitons that showcased many world class pipers, to recitals and even open competitions featuring local talent.

The Professional Piping events once again will be held Friday evening at our Host Hotel. We will have both piobaireachd and light music events.
